Frankfurt/Germany, 7th September 2009; NGVA Europe together with its Board member, erdgas mobil, invite to visit the grand NGV stand at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt (17th-27th Sept). Location will be booth F318 in the green open-air exhibition ground ("Agora") bewteen exhibition hall 2 and 4 (see invitation at the bottom).
Around one million visitors, over 1,000 exhibitors and 15,000 journalists from all over the world make the International Motor Show in Frankfurt the most important trade show for mobility in the world. This year's 63rd 'Internationale Automobil Ausstellung', IAA (www.iaa.de), most notably wants to set an example for greener vehicles. In this context NGVA Europe Board member, erdgas mobil, will be host of an incredible 700 square metre stand to promote natural gas and biomethane as a vehicle fuel - "the biggest NGV booth at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt ever", as General Manager of erdgas mobil, Timm Kehler, points out.
Highlights include the display of NG/biomethane powered serial models from automakers, such as, Fiat, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Opel or Ford. Visitors will also have a chance to go for a test drive and can see for the
mselves what the formidable performance of the new CNG turbo engines with 150 hp is all about, when going for a ride in the Opel Zafira CNG Ecoflex Turbo or the new Volkswagen Touran TSI EcoFuel (see picture). Another eye- and ear-catcher at the "Agora" booth of erdgas mobil will be the high power VW Scirocco running on NG/biomethane (282 hp) that recently performed so incredibly well in the 24 hours race at the German F1 race track, Nürburgring (go to press release).
The German NGV pressure group, erdgas mobil, which is operational since April 2009, will kick off the NGV exhibition with a press conference on September 15th where they will also present their newly designed Logo. The press and media days (15th-16th) will be followed by engineer and expert days (17th-18th) before the Frankfurt Motor Show opens its gates to the public from September 19th until 27th.
