Madrid/Spain; 4th February 2009 it has been decided to reorganize NGVA Europe's working structure. During the session, the represented members also decided on mobilizing various ad-hoc working groups.

NGVA Europe decided on a new working structure and replaces the former Marketing & Communications Committee (MCC) and Technical Committee (TC) by ad-hoc working groups. This new approach helps making the work of NGVA Europe more efficient.
Working groups for the following subjects have been established:
- Biomethane
- Dual Fuel Technology
- Education and Training
- Exhibition Coordination
- LNG & L-CNG
- Successful Market Initiatives
The delegates also followed the Board's recommendation to give important coordination responsibilities to some of the members. Hence, Martin Seifert, representing the Swiss NGVA Europe member SVGW (Swiss association of gas & water) now becomes NGVA Europe's responsible for coordinating NGVA Europe's representation in EU and UN Working Parties and Flavio Mariani, representing the Italian NGVA Europe member ENI, takes over the function of being NGVA Europe's Technical Coordinator.
