Message from the Chairman of the Board

Dear Visitor,

NGVA Europe has the mission to foster good relations with European and international Institutions, and to define and advocate the positions of the European NGV industry. As a member you can play an active role in developing these positions, whether on general political or strictly technical issues.

We are in the fortunate position of advocating the use of a fuel which in many different ways will help to secure sustainable mobility – an immediately available alternative to oil, lower greenhouse gas emissions than any other hydrocarbon fuel, extremely low emissions of pollutants, reduced noise and vibrations, and, last but not least, an alternative which will reduce the overall fuelling costs..

In addition to natural gas, our industry can also offer the use of renewable biomethane - without any mixing restrictions or other complications. Biomethane can very efficiently be produced via gasification of lignocellulosic feedstock, or via anaerobic digestion of other biomass.  Fuel yields per tonne of waste, or per hectare of land, will be substantially higher than for competing biofuels.

We also take pride in providing reliable information on the market development, not only in Europe, but also globally. Having reliable market data will always be a benefit when you consider suitable future action.

As a member of NGVA Europe you can always approach our staff with any requests you may have for assistance with a particular issue. Our General Manager, Dr. Eng. Manuel Lage, has many years of senior management experience concerning heavy duty vehicles.

Our association also offers excellent networking opportunities, and the possibility to get friendly advice from experienced people among our members (some of them with special responsibilities for various ongoing projects, or for the overall coordination of all technical issues).

If you are interested in knowing more, or if you have ideas how we could further improve our new web site, please do not hesitate to contact us.

NGVA Europe … for sustainable mobility
