| Short Profile |
Scandinavian GtS, project development company, provide turn key solutions for biogas applications used as a vehicle fuel. We manufacture and provide solutions for both CBG (Compressed BioGas) and LBG (Liquefied BioGas).
|
| Long Profile |
Scandinavian GtS is an international company in upgrade of biogas from various sources such as waste at wastewater treatment plants, ethanol plants, biodiesel plants and landfills. Based on patented technology and end-to-end expertise in the gas treatment process, Scandinavian GtS can produce biogas of vehicle fuel or pipeline quality in both gas phase (CBG) and in liquid form (LBG). Gas phase is used for distribution in gas grids whilst liquid phase can be transported cost efficient on road, rail of by sea. The production method is based on a cryogenic separation in 4 modules where the first 2 separate of undesirable impurities, module 3 produce LCO2 and CBG and module 4 produce LBG. The cryogenic process is patented and the final module 4 patented is owned by Scandinavian GtS. The CBG process has the lowest production costs of all commercially available processes thanks to a lower energy consumption of 50 – 100% compared with conventional technologies.
The LBG process is unique and opens new possibilities to use a new source like landfill gas. The liquid form reduce the volume 600 times compare with its atmospheric condition and makes it possible to extend the economical distribution radius 5 times compare with previous solutions. The liquid form also enables heavy duty traffic to carry a sufficient quantity of fuel to give a long range plus same fuel efficiency as present so the vehicles can operate under same conditions as present. LBG is today the only sustainable fuel and at the same time economically viable option for heavy duty road transports.
Scandinavian GtS intends to invest and operate its own CBG & LBG production facilities in cooperation with partners and presently have 2 contracts under execution in Varberg and Sundsvall, Sweden.
The company, founded in 2007 and based in Sweden, have a technology and competence to expand rapidly from its current base. The market potential is not a limiting factor and Scandinavian GtS vision is to be a world leading company in a rapidly expanding biogas industry.
