| Short Profile |
Core competencies include a focus on electronics, powertrain and vehicle development, and the development of vehicles/machines with gas propulsion. Clients include all of the world's premier automobile manufacturers and suppliers. |
| Long Profile |
With worldwide experience (Europe, Asia, America, Middle East) IAV has developed many OEM projects and turn key programs in essential markets such as engine development, thermodynamic optimisation, functional development and system layout for engine controls. This includes EOBD/OBD II functions for various gas drives, calibration on the test bench as well as in the vehicle giving regards to functionality, driveability, and emissions. Further experience has been gained from constructional dimensioning for the mechanical durability of of more than 18 years of Qualified Vehicle Manufacturer (QVM) conversion work the gas drive, packaging of all necessary components, and the testing of both engine and vehicle endurance. IAV has several motor test benches with the possibility to use compressed natural gas in different qualities, with a certified exhaust emission laboratory, cold-test chamber, and many more possibilities. Additional performance options can be seen in the layout and application of gas-specific components, recommendations for alternative testing of injectors for gaseous fuels, pressure regulators, solenoid valves, etc., as well as different exhaust gas aftertreatment setup including catalysts. Testing possibilities for gasoline engines include altering layout or concepts with test execution in cold-climate, warm-climate and high-altitudes. Analysis of the calculation, construction, layout and package of the gas tank system in the chassis, simulation and execution of crash tests on our own crash test bench is also available. Organisation and support of vehicle endurance tests (exhaust emission, durability of components, etc.) FMEA, homologation support for the OEM Support for the layout and planning of the production Support for supplier audits For more than 18 years IAV has also worked on vehicle conversion as a Qualified Vehicle Manufacturer (QVM) for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
