We build and run gas filling stations in Sweden but are also working towards more vehicle owners choosing gas to run their vehicles instead of petrol or diesel. This is because gas is a cheaper fuel, but most importantly because the environmental effects are only a fraction of those caused by normal fuels.
Our fuel, gas to vehicles, is the first and only automotive fuel to bear the Nordic Council of Ministers' Swan ecolabel. The label is a guarantee for owners of methane-powered vehicles that they are driving climate smart.
Certification for the swan ecolabel entails stringent demands on the entire chain – from raw materials to what comes out of the exhaust pipe. Certification mainly concerns:
Limiting greenhouse gas emissions
Establishing controlled energy usage during production
Increasing the portion of renewable fuel
Lowering health impact
Attaining certified sustainable and traceable cultivation
Maintaining good social and working conditions
The swan ecolabel is conferred by a non-partisan organization, jointly operated by the Nordic countries. To ensure compliance with the criteria, the organization makes periodic checks. For more information about Swan criteria, visit www.svanen.nu.
We currently operate 28 gas filling stations in the west of Sweden. In our filling stations you can use the FordonsGas card, VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, Volvo card and JCB etc. as a means of payment. Sweden uses the same filling nozzle as the rest of Europe (except Italy). |
