Alcar Ltd, an affiliated company of NGVA Europe member Gas Fuelling Technology Ltd, have two large CNG Filling Stations available for sale.
The equipment was built by Hamworthy Bellis and Morcom of Gloucester, UK. (now Gardner Denver). The units were originally supplied to Mobil CNG Ltd and installed at Safeway Regional Distribution Centres to fuel a fleet of Scania CNG trucks. The CNG stations were built to the highest standards and have only been used for a few hundred hours.
The single station configuration comprises two Hamworthy Bellis and Morcom GT1000 4-stage gas compressors driven by Perkins 24 litre 6 cylinder gas engines; modular gas storage bottle banks and twin and single hose Compac CNG dispensers. The equipment is complete with cooling system, all controls including a remote equipment condition telemetering system.
Each compressors has a nominal capacity of 1000 standard cubic metres per hour (scum/hr) compressing from a suction pressure of 1.5 Bar A to 250 Bar. The drive engines are fuelled by the uncompressed supply gas and consume approximately 100 scum/hr per engine under full load. The station was designed to service 200 HD trucks per day.
Due to the modular build configuration the single 2000 scum/h capacity station can easily be separated into two separate independent 1000 scum/h capacity stations.
All manuals and service histories are available.
The original capital cost for each unit modular station was £450,000 each (£900,000 total) and they are now offered at £250,000 each (£500,000 total) ex works ex VAT.
It is possible that a further two identical units may become available.
